From
1992, EES (which was then EEC CAD/CAM division) served
Visakhapatnam steel plant. Hundreds of components were
developed every month for this customer alone. 3D Laser
digitizer was fully loaded with variety of spare parts
for which manufacturing drawings needed to be developed.
EES started doing projects for various public sector
plants and defense sectors. Millions of points were
captured on physical parts using the Laser scanner.
The scanned data was processed using Datasculpt software.
In early 1992, when most of the Indian
industries were predominantly using drafting board for
their design activities, EES was using high end CAD/CAM
workstation from Silicon Graphics Inc (SGI). EES was
using CADKEY for 3D CAD works and AutoCAD for 2D CAD
works. EES was doing high end analysis using the NISA
– the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software and
manufacturing solutions using CAMAND software.
In the year 2001, when EEC CAD/CAM
became EES, there were already more than hundreds of
customers and more than a decade of experience in a
variety of sectors.
EES had tied up with Parametric Technology
Corporation; an USA based CAD/CAM/CAE Software Company.
Pro/ENGINEER or Pro/E in short, is the software solution
from PTC and was used by more than 30,000 customers
world wide. EES became PTC’s only certified training
partner for the entire Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry states
of India. EES was one of the four such partners in the
country.
Later EES became PTC’s authorized reseller for
the software.
Presently EES handles a host of products
from various Indian and international partners and provides
total solutions to its customers. EES also serves lot
of customers overseas in the area of CAD/CAM/CAE. EES
has also strengthened its position in the CAE segment
by adding ANSYS software and also partnering with Altair
for its Hyperworks and LSDyna software. EES also has
become the all India partner for the Computational Fluid
Dynamics (CFD) software by name CFDExpert.
In the High Performance Computing (HPC)
segment EES has partnered with HP and SGI to offer a
range of workstations, servers, storage and virtual
reality systems to its customers.
EES has also acquired a 7 axis portable arm mounted
line Laser for reverse engineering projects.
EES is in the process of establishing a quality management
system under the guidelines of ISO: 9001:2000. |
